Pay Scale (Salary): Pay Band 3: Rs. 15600-39100, GP Rs. 5400/-, plus admissible allowances as per GOI norms with gross emoluments of approximately Rs.60,000/- per month.

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate should have B. Tech. / M.Tech./M.E. / MCA or Ph. D. They must be strong in system administration of Linux computers in a multi-user environment. Candidates with B. Tech. /M. Sc./ MCA must have at least two years' experience of working on Linux administration. Relaxation in qualification may be considered for exceptionally good candidates. Familiarity with numerically intensive scientifically oriented computing platforms can be an advantage.

Job Responsibilities :

1. The candidate with strong experience and expertise in Linux based HPC machines is expected to contribute to:
2. Management of user quotas on Luster parallel file system and backup.
3. Checking job status and performance of the HPC machine.
4. Installation, troubleshooting and optimization of softwares and libraries for scientific computation with Intel cluster suite and OpenMPI.
5. Troubleshooting basic hardware issues in the HPC clusters.
6. Monitoring the Data Center (HVAC, Electrical and IBMS) manually and through BMS alerts system.
7. Monitoring the supporting UPS and Precision ACs in the Data Centre, outdoor units.
8. Installing new softwares and troubleshoot Ubuntu Desktops.
9. Maintaining 3D Visualization Facility.
10. Interacting with vendors for preventive maintenance and other issues.
11. Configuration of job scheduling software and optimization of network (Ethernet and InfiniBand) for computing clusters. JNCASR provides a flexible and vibrant environment for learning, we expect that this job will provide a highly educating experience through interactions with scientists.
