Pay scale ( वेतन ) : Research Associates: Rs.36,000/- (fixed) per month plus HRA and Medical Allowance as applicable as per DST/MOES guidelines Research Fellow : Rs.25,000/- (fixed) per month plus HRA and Medical allowances as applicable as per DST/MOES guidelines

Educational requirements ( शैक्षिक आवश्यकता ) : i. Master’s degree in Geology/Geophysics/Seismology/Physics/Computers or B.E/B. Tech Degree in Electronics & Communication/Computer Science/Information Technology from a recognized University or equivalent

Desirable qualifications ( वांछनीय योग्यता ) : (i) Doctorate degree in the relevant subject or area of specialization. (ii) Preference may be given to the NET/Gate qualified candidates.

Experience requirements ( अनुभव ) : Experience for Research Associates will be 2 years in Research and Development or in Academic Institutions and/or Science & Technology Organizations for those having science background and 3 years experience for those having engineering background.

Job responsibilities / description ( उत्तरदायित्व) :i. To assist the senior scientists in operation and maintenance of the Central Receiving Station on a 24 x 7 basis for real time data reception and analyses of various earthquake precursory data sets received from different Observatories. Should also help in data processing and analysis. ii. Some of the Research Associates/Research Fellows should be associated with performing the roster duties in the CRS on a 24 x 7 basis for real time data reception and analyses of data. The remaining five Research Associates will be assisting the senior scientist in various activities of the National Program on Seismology.
