Responsibilities: To assist Project Leader in conducting experiments, routine laboratory work, helping in management activities related to WP-7 of the above mentioned project “Enhancing the production of very high value phytochemicals (Crocin, Picrocrocin and Safranal) from saffron crocus (Crocus sativus) through biotechnological approaches”.
Education Requirements: Candidates with M. Tech / M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology/ Botany/ Life Sciences and related areas from a recognized university with minimum of 55% marks (aggregate).
Desirable Qualifications: 1. Very good knowledge of Plant Science/ Plant Tissue Culture/ Greenhouse cultivation of crop plants 2. 1-2 years’ hands-on experience in a Research Laboratory in Plant Tissue Culture related work

General Information: The prescribed educational qualifications are the bare minimum and mere possession of same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview. Based on the recommendation of the Screening Committee(4), the Project Leader may restrict the number of candidates for interview to reasonable limits after taking into consideration qualifications and experience over and above the minimum qualifications prescribed in the advertisement.
Therefore, it will be in the interest of the candidates to mention all the qualifications and experience in the relevant field at the time of applying.
