Education Requirements: An eminent scholar with consistently good academic record and a Ph. D degree in the concerned /allied/ relevant discipline with a number of high quality research publications in reputed journals and / or publication of books
Experience Requirements:
a) At least 10 years’ experience in University/ College and/ or experience in research in university/ reputed research institutions/ industries.
b) Research guidance of doctoral students.
Desirable Qualifications: Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses and use of modern technology in teaching-learning process. An outstanding professional with established reputation in the relevant field and who has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline may also be considered for appointment as Professor.

General Information:
1. No application except in prescribed Application Form will be considered. Application form is available in University Web Site. Five sets of applications will have to be submitted.
2. A person working in Govt. / Semi-Govt. / Public Sector undertaking must apply through proper channel.
3. Incomplete application will not be entertained.
4. University authority will not be responsible for any postal delay.
5. No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.
6. Application fees once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
7. The University shall verify the antecedents or documents submitted by a candidate at any time at the time of appointment or during the tenure of the service. In case, it is detected that the documents submitted by the candidates are fake or the candidate has a clandestine antecedents/background and has suppressed the said information, then his services shall be terminated.
8. The University reserves the right not to fill up the post advertised if the circumstances so warrant.
9. In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection which may be detected at any stage even after the issue of appointment letter, the University reserves the right to modify/ withdraw/ cancel any communication made to the candidates.
10. In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision of the competent authority shall be final.

The downloaded filled- in Application Form must be accompanied by requisite fee as Bank Draft payable at Cooch Behar drawn in favour of the “Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University”. The filled- in Application Form with attested copies of all necessary documents along with two self - addressed unstamped envelope of 25 x 13 cms. size must reach the “Office of the Registrar, Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University, Vivekananda Street, Cooch Behar – 736101.” on or before 18th November,2015 (within 04:00 p.m.).

Associate Professor
Salary: Pay Band – Rs. 37,400/ - 67,000/- plus Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 9,000/-
Education Requirements:
a) Good academic record with a Ph. D degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
b) A master’s degree in concerned/allied/relevant disciplines with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed)
c) At least a second class” Three Years” Bachelor’s Degree with Honours/ Major in the relevant/ allied subject.
Experience Requirements: A minimum of 8(eight) years of experience of teaching and/ or research in an academic/ research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or reputed research institution /industry with a number of good quality publications in reputed journals and/or publication of books.
