Responsibilities: Conducting engineering / electrical practicals for pre-sea GME cadets as per the timetable. Daily supervision of cadets during their training with respect to : morning routine of fall in, physical training, orderliness, attending classes, parade, mustering, games and conduct of cadets during all aspects of their training. Upkeep of class rooms, tables, chairs, black / white board, markers, OHP, computer, LCD projector, educational posters, dummies / models etc required for smooth conduct of the class. Maintenance of discipline by cadets at MTI classrooms, hostel, dining hall and at all places of their training. Maintenance and monitoring of daily attendance of cadets, leave applications, visit to doctor due to sickness etc. Accompanying the cadets on dock / ship visits and Workshop Training, Swimming Training etc. Administrative and paper work with respect to cadets’ bio data, mark sheets, certificates, course files etc. in compliance with procedure manual. Administrative and paper work with respect to cadets INDoS, CDC, and other application forms. Invigilation during examinations / tests / assignments. Conduct of examinations as external examiner at MTI or at other examination centers as directed. Maintenance of workbooks, journals, and mark sheets. Any other duties, as laid out by course co-ordinator, course officer or course faculty. Any other duties, as may be allotted from time to time, by Principal MTI Powai, Dean (NS) or course coordinator.

Education Requirements: The candidate should be from Ex-Indian navy engine/ electrical branch/ Engine/ Electrical petty officer.

Experience Requirements: Applicants must have sailed or served in the engine / electrical branch on naval ships as engine room sailor / electrical Sailor /petty officer. Experience of Training in similar Maritime Training Institute / Institutes will be given preference. Applicants should posses D.G. approved certificate of Training for Trainers and Instructors (TOTI). If not attended and obtained TOTI Certificate same to be obtained within 3 months from joining MTI Powai campus at applicant's own cost and time from any D.G. approved Institute.
