Pay scale ( वेतन ) : Rs. 25,000/- p.m. consolidated for NET (JRF)/GATE qualified candidates and Rs. 12,000/- p.m. consolidated for non-NET/non-GATE qualified candidate plus admissible House Rent Allowance (HRA), which is at present @ 20% for 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 28,000/- p.m. consolidated for NET (JRF)/GATE qualified candidates and Rs. 14,000/- p.m. consolidated for non-NET/non-GATE qualified candidate plus admissible House Rent Allowance (HRA), which is at present @ 20% for 3rd year, subject to satisfactory performance.
Educational requirements ( शैक्षिक आवश्यकता ) : 1 st class M.Sc./M.Tech/M.Sc. Tech. degree in Geophysics/Applied Geophysics with Physics, Maths at B.Sc. Level.
Desirable qualifications ( वांछनीय योग्यता ) : Experience/Training on Seismological Data Processing. Computer Programming knowledge and zeal to do field work in high altitude region. Preference will be given to candidates who have qualified NET/GATE, UGCCSIR combined examination. In case suitable NET/GATE, UGC-CSIR qualified candidates are not available Non-NET qualified candidate will also be considered.
