Education Requirements: Diploma in relevant branch of Engineering (Civil/Chemical/Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Mining/Computer Sc. & Engg.) of three years duration in appropriate field OR B.Sc. in appropriate field (Physics/Geology/Chemistry) with experience in handling of scientific instruments in workshop/laboratory/industry and computer applications as per requirement.

Experience Requirements: 8 years relevant experience with GP of Rs. 2,800/- or equivalent.

Desirable Qualifications: Knowledge of handling sophisticated laboratory instruments/execution of project work/field work relevant to different science and engineering departments.

General Information:

1) Reservation for SC/ ST/OBC/PH/Ex-Serviceman as per Central Govt. Application form may be downloaded from the institute’s website www.ismdhanbad.ac.in and be submitted with a necessary fees (Rs. 100/- Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Registrar, ISM Dhanbad’ payable at Dhanbad) to the Deputy Registrar (Estt.), Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad – 826 004. Prescribed application forms may also be obtained from the office of the Deputy Registrar (Estt.), Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad – 826 004 by sending a crossed demand draft for Rs. 100/- drawn in favour of “Registrar, Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad” payable at Dhanbad with a self-addressed stamped (Rs. 50/-) envelope of 30 c.m. x 12 c.m. size. SC/ST candidates are exempted from paying any fees. Candidates shortlisted for interview will be paid sleeper class railway fare by the shortest route as per rules on production of tickets Institute may adopt a suitable criteria to fix higher qualification and/or marks and conduct written test/professional competency test to shortlist candidates for interview. Legal disputes, if any, regarding the above will be restricted within the jurisdiction of Dhanbad only.
