Education Requirements:

i). A minimum of 55% of marks in MBA with specialization in Sports Management / Production Management / Marketing Management / Financial Management / Human Resource Management or Master’s Degree in Physical Education with PG Diploma in Sports Management with specialization in Production Management / Marketing Management / Financial Management / Human Resource Management.

ii). Ph.D. in Sports Management / Production Management / Marketing Management / Financial Management / Human Resource Management or equivalent published work.

iii). At least 10 years teaching / research experience in University / National Level Institutions / College of Physical Education out of which 5 years in the Post Graduate Institution / University Department

iv). A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) developed by UGC in the regulations shall be mandatory requirement. (OR) An outstanding professional with established reputation in the relevant field who has made significant contribution to knowledge.

General Information:

1. The Number of Post and the communal reservation are given in Annexure – A and the details of qualification are given in Annexure – B, C & D.

2. Separate Application and Payment are required for each post applied.

3. Candidates must be an Indian National.

4. A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based on Performance Base Appraisal System (PBAS) set out in the UGC Regulation is mandatory.

5. The candidates are requested to submit EIGHT COPIES of applications with required enclosure.

6. Candidates who are invited for the interview should be appearing for interview at their own cost.

7. Candidates may be called for an interview as per the list prepared by the Scrutiny Committee constituted by the Vice-Chancellor for the purpose.

8. Syndicate reserves the right to fill or not to fill-up the post without assigning any reasons whatsoever.

9. Any attempt, by the candidate, either directly or indirectly to influence the Selection Committee or other authorities of the University will disqualify the candidate for the post.

10. In addition to pay, the post carries allowances as per the Tamil Nadu State government rules.

11. The service conditions and other terms of appointment in the University shall be subject to the approval of the Syndicate of the Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University.

12. Persons who are already working in State / Central Government/ University / Educational Institution / Public Sector Undertakings should send their applications through proper channel. Any delay in sending the applications through proper channel is not the responsibility of the University. Advance Copies of the applications reaching the Registrar, Tamil Nadu Physical Education and University, Chennai-127 within the prescribed time limit shall be entertained. The original application forwarded through proper channel should reach the Registrar office before the Scrutiny Committee meets.

Associate Professor (Yoga)

Salary: Rs.37400-67000+Rs.9000

Education Requirements:

i). A minimum of 55% of marks or its equivalent grade in M.Sc., Degree in Yoga (or) Master’s Degree in Physical Education with Diploma in Yoga from a recognized Institution / University.

ii). Ph.D., in Yoga / Physical Education in the area of Yoga.

iii). A minimum of 8 years of teaching experience in University / College, and /or experience in research at the University / National Level Institutions / College of Physical Education.

iv). A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) developed by UGC in the regulations shall be mandatory requirement.

Qualifications: Eight years of experience of Teaching and / or Research excluding the periods spent for obtaining the Research Degrees and has made some measures in the areas of scholarship as evidenced by quality of publications, contribution to educational innovation, design of new courses and curricula
