Education Requirements: (i)Matriculation or its equivalent; Possession of First Class Master Certificate under Inland Steam Vessels Act, 1917 (1 of 1917) (OR) (ii)Possession of Certificate of Competency as Master of a Steam Vessel having engine of any nominal Horse Power, (or) of a Motor vessel having engines of any Break Horse Power, issued by the Mercantile Marine Department under Major Ports Harbour Crafts Rules.

Experience Requirements: Three years experience in handling vessels with above capacity

Desirable Qualifications: (i) Knowledge of Swimming. (ii) Should pass the trade test prescribed and conducted by the Port

Age Limit: 30 years
